Macarthur Bulls win the Women’s final

Another fantastic year for women’s Police Rugby League with six teams contesting the NSWPRL carnival at the beautiful NSW mid-north coast town of Port Macquarie.

Six teams comprising of Bankstown, Macarthur, Easts, Country North and Penrith showed a great standard of footy, great camaraderie and discipline to back up each day and play the toughest sport in the world.

Bankstown finished with the most points and defeated the Penrith team in the semi-finals by 28 points to nil making them favourites for the Final. Macarthur defeated Country North in the second semi final winning a close contest 10 points to 4.

The final was a tough encounter and Macarthur led by their player of the match Lisa Jorgensen and player of the carnival Taylah Parmeter to run out winners by 14 points to nil.

Lisa Jorgensen left and Taylah Parmenter right, were presented with their trophies by NSWPRL life members Doug Keen (left) and Cameron Smith (right).
