After another fantastic year of NSWPRL Women’s Police Bank Cup, the Bankstown Giants made it two in a row after narrowly defeating a brave effort from the Eastern Suburbs Wombats. The close score of Bankstown 10, Wombats 6, was a reflection of how close the two teams were.
Bankstown forward Eden Stoddard was awarded the player of the carnival for her never say die attitude and high work rate. Eden was presented the award by Boyd Stewart from the Police Bank.
The Country South Steelers and the Easts Wombats played for the Leanne McCusker shield with the Steelers team victorious. Team Captains Sandra Laughlin and Gabrielle Suckling display the shield below.
The NSWPRL would like to thank all of the five Women’s teams, Bankstown Giants, Easts Wombats, Country North Cowgirls, Macarthur Bulls and the Country South Steelers for showing lots of spirit and enthusiasm and see you all again in 2024.
