NSW Police defeat the Affiliated States Police rugby league team

In a hard fought match at the picturesque Albion Park Eagles Rugby League, the NSW Police team defeated a spirited Affiliated states team.

NSW required to win by 21 points to clench the Tri-series, but there winning score of 26 points to 12, meant QLD Police won the series after they had defeated the Affiliated states team at WIN stadium by 38 points to 18. Congratulations to QLD.

The game had an emotional significance to NSW centre Sean Jenkins, who is an Albion Park local, and had played with the Albion Park Eagles for many years.

It was a brave effort for the NSW team after their brutal encounter with the QLD Police two days before.  There was some tricky back-line movements and fast long range runs which entertained the crowd.

NSW coach Craig Sheridan and Captain Mitch West praised the team for their undefeated result in the carnival and for their commitment during a fantastic campaign.

A special congratulations to NSW back-rower, Dave Cox for ten consecutive years as a NSWPRL representative player.

Thanks to all of those involved in the series and see you all in 2019.
