The NSWPRL women’s team kicked it off with a hard fought 14-10 victory over a gallant Queensland at Polytech Stadium Gosford. Coach Mickey Ricketts and his coaching staff had the girls primed to show resilience and they did against a very tough QLD outfit.
Tries to Lizzy Rigg x 2 and Jayme Elphinstone with 2 goals to Nerida Gregory. This was a great win by our women’s team who have numerous debutants this year after many of our experienced players have either retired or were unavailable due to injury.
In game 2 against the Affiliated States (AS), the NSW Women again reigned supreme and lead from start to finish to win 20-6 and retain their undefeated status since forming 5 years ago. Try scorers Lizzie Rigg x 2, Teagan Long and Taylah Parmeter with 2 x goals to Nerida Gregory.
