Superintendent Shane Cribb

I am very pleased and humbled to be appointed as Patron of the NSW Police Rugby League. I have had a long association with the NSW Police Rugby League having first started playing in 1991 as a Probationary Constable fresh from the bush. I played for several teams including Sydney District, Balmain, and Endeavour making some great friends on the way. I was fortunate enough to be selected in the NSW Police Rugby League team and have continued my association with a coaching role with the Country team.

Some of my greatest memories in the NSW Police come from my playing, coaching and the related social events that come within the Police Rugby League family. The NSW Police Rugby League competition has always been of a high standard with many grade and international players taking the field since its inception. And we should also remember that a number of high profile referees have graced our fields in both a playing and officiating roles.

The competition continues to be played at a very high standard and has evolved and grown with the recent inclusion of the Women’s teams now part of the competition. I encourage you all to get involved whether it be as a player, supporter or sponsor and enjoy the camaraderie that comes through involvement with our competition.
