The NSW Police Rugby League team have retained the Tri-Series for 2016 after a tough campaign in Melbourne.
NSW defeated a determined Queensland Police team by 26 points to 16 at a sub-standard field with inadequate lighting. It was tough for both teams under the conditions.
the NSW Police team backed up the following day, but were defeated by a willing Affiliated States team by 20 points to 18 right on full-time. The Affiliated states were defeated by Qld on day one of the tournament, meaning NSW are again victorious.
