NSWPRL State Squad 2008/Sydney Campaign
The NSWPRL selected State side of 2008 hosted the interstate challenge with the Queenlsand PRL State side at Toyota Park. The NSWPRL team under the coatching of Craig Sheridan and Assistant Coach Chris Sullivan, went into camp at Cronulla. The side gelled extremely well during training sessions, including an intense boxing session at Cronulla surf club with prominent Sydney trainer Les Motto. On the morning of the game, Digger Hesckett made an inspiration speach.The game itself was a fierce encounter including two all in brawls and ex NRL player and Queensland prop, Nick Patterson being sent off. NSW under the captaincy of Brad Reh ran out eventual winners 30-14. This victory was four in a row for NSWPRL against QLDPRL. Two days later the NSWPRL team accounted for the Affiliated States Police Team at Kogarah Oval. Head Trainer and Newcastle Knights Trainer Paul Wallace, warms up the team.
